Mr. Scott has a Masters in Music Education from WichitaStateUniversity. He then taught high school choral music for five years and was Bass soloist for churches, operas at WichitaStateUniversity, Wichita Symphony Orchestra, and Wichita Chamber Chorale. For the past 20 years he has been the choir director for University Congregational Church in Wichita, Kansas. Patsy and Bob are the owners/founders of Prairie Pines Christmas Tree Farm, an "entertainment farm." In 1997, he teamed up with Catherine Consiglio (Artistic Director) to develop Chamber Music at The Barn. His passion for this festival has taken him to other venues such as Wolf Trap; Brevard; Olympia, WA; Yellow Barn, Putney, VT; Woodstock, NY, etc., to observe their operations. He regularly attends the Chamber Music America convention in New York City.
Catherine Consiglio is Associate Professor of Viola at Wichita State University, a member of the Fairmount Quartet and Principal Viola in the Wichita Symphony. Her degrees include a MM from the New England Conservatory, where she was assistant to renowned pedagogue Heidi Castleman. Teachers include Jeffrey Irvine and Eugene Lehner, violist with the legendary Kolish Quartet. Ms. Consiglio also taught at Rice University, the University of Connecticut, University of Oklahoma and Phillips Academy. Former orchestral playing positions include: Principal Violist of the OklahomaSymphony, Boston Philharmonic, New England Chamber Orchestra, Orchesta Sinfonia de Jalapa and Assistant Principal of the Houston Chamber Orchestra. Ms. Consiglio has taught and performed at festivals across the United States, Mexico and Europe, including the Evian Music Festival, The Quartet Program and Killington Music Festival.
During 2005 and 2006, Ms. Consiglio headed a project to take WSU chamber music into the public schools. Approximately 21 college students played to multiple classes at over 10 area schools, reaching out with the language of chamber music to hundreds of teenagers. Consiglio is co-founder and Artistic Director of Chamber Music at the Barn in Wichita. CMATB presents 15 chamber music concerts and supports 4 educational music camps during June, July and September. This year Chamber Music at The Barn joyfully celebrates its 13th season.
In 2007 and 2008 Ms. Consiglio's technique book for violists has been requested for use at the Julliard School and the Julliard Preparatory Division.Ms. Consiglio has received two of the three WSU College of Fine Arts Excellence in Achievement Awards. In 1994 she was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award, in 2003 she received the Excellence in Special Fine Arts Endeavors Award and in August of 2007 she was awarded the Anita Jones Faculty Fellowship by the Dean of the College of Fine Arts. In May 2008 Ms. Consiglio was awarded the Daniel J. Sevart Award for community service from the Wichita Symphony Orchestra. The wonderful honors she has received recently may partially explain her intense attraction to gardening and the art of doing nothing.
Judy Conners has been the Director of Development for Chamber Music at the Barn since 2006, following her retirement as Director of Development at Exploration Place in downtown Wichita, where she managed the new science center's $65 million capital campaign, completed in 2000.She was chosen the Outstanding Fundraising Executive of the Year in Kansas in 2001.
Prior to joining the Exploration Place staff, Judy was Director of Development and Community Relations for the Salvation Army in Sedgwick County and managed their $12.5 million capital campaign, successfully completed in nine months in 1995.Judy became a Certified Fund Raising Executive in 1994 and has maintained that certification since 1994.She has conducted many fundraising seminars and workshops for not-for-profit organizations during her 24-year fundraising career.
Judy has been an elementary school teacher, a speech therapist, and a music educator and performer. She holds two bachelor degrees: a B. Mus. From Southwestern College in Winfield (magna cum laude), and a B.S. in education and speech pathology from the University of Kansas (summa cum laude). She attended the Graduate School of Social Work at Columbia University in New York City.

Miriam
Overholt is an active composer who is frequently commissioned to write for
orchestras and choirs. Her music has been widely performed and featured twice
at the prestigious Midwest Clinic, an International Band and Orchestra
Conference in Chicago, Illinois. She is
director of Camp da Capo, a chamber music retreat for adult musicians sponsored
by Chamber Music at the Barn in Wichita, Kansas, and is also the Director of
Music for Church of the Savior in Wichita.
KAY BUSKIRK
DIRECTOR, NORTHEAST AREA STRINGS ACADEMY OF WICHITA (NASAW)
Kay Buskirk is a former public school strings teacher currently on the faculty of both Friends University and Bethel College. In addition to teaching viola, music education classes, and coaching chamber music at Friends, she has developed a class that is now part of their required curriculum for performance majors. She maintains a private viola studio and coaches the Wichita Youth SymphonyOrchestras' viola sections.
A twenty-six year veteran of the Wichita Symphony Orchestra's viola section, she was the first recipient of the orchestra's new Daniel J. Sevart Award for Community Service (2007). She is active in the local chamber music community. Every May since 2002, she hosts an outdoor pipe organ and chamber music concert at a private residence. This generally attracts 50 to 100 people with lawn chairs and desserts to share after the concert! Buskirk founded and continues to direct NASAW, which was recognized as the Emerging Arts Organization of 2002 by the Wichita Arts Council.

Tim is happy to be back again, providing sound design and video services for Chamber Music at the Barn for the 3rd year. "I just love the opportunity to once again work with the CMATB staff and musicians! Each performance is such a joy to experience!" In the off season, Tim provides sound for stage plays, live bands and back yard parties. He also runs sound at his church, University Congregational Church in Wichita.
