This summer's offerings include weekly private lessons, group events and a student recital.
Private Lessons for violin, viola, cello, and string bass are taught each Thursday evening and Friday morning at North Heights Christian Church, 3030 N. Hillside, beginning June 7. Thirty-minute lessons are schedule between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. (Thursdays) and between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 (Fridays).

July Group Event:
On Tuesday, July 20, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at First Evangelical Free Church, 1825 N. Woodlawn, NASAW students will have a workshop to prepare for the NASAW recital. In addition, students will listen to a performance of "Color of the Spirit: Music Based on Five Paintings of Tillier Wesley." Written by Friends University professor, Dan Racer, this piece includes a power point presentation of Wesley's Native American paintings that inspired this work. Mr. Racer will be available to talk with and encourage future NASAW composers during the morning!
Annual recital:
Final recital will be held Saturday, July 24, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. Our traditional punch and cookie reception will follow the recital.
